It is actually the 'Singapore Flyer', currently under construction. According to its website, it is a giant observation wheel, set to become Asia's most iconic visitor attraction.
When completed in March 2008, it will provide breathtaking, panoramic views of Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
Singapore Flyer Managing Director, Mr Peter Purcell, said, "Unlike a ferris wheel which is merely a joyride, the giant observation wheel offers a whole new dimension in terms of its unique venue in the sky."
"The Singapore Flyer is the one and only opportunity to experience Singapore and its rich heritage and history through a 360-degree panoramic and scenic view of the Lion City."
The duration of each ride will be 37 minutes, and will cost $29.50 per person.
