We've all
had our moments of gamer rage -- times when we just want to break stuff
due to frustration with out shared hobby of controlling moving pixels
on a screen. One StarCraft fan, however, has been reported to have
taken gamer rage to a whole new, more lethal level.
Over in Sweden,
an 18-year-old gamer apparently got so pissed when he lost his internet
connection during a StarCraft game that he picked up a kitchen knife,
went out on the street, and stabbed the first person he saw.
This
person turned out to be a 15-year-old girl, who subsequently suffered
multiple stab wounds. Luckily, the girl survived. The attacker has
since been charged with attempted manslaughter due to a "psychiatric
component" (the attack took place in August), although the prosecutor
wanted him to be tried for attempted murder instead.
Haven't you guys raged before while in game?
